ATVing the Similkameen

Web ATVs.jpg

There are lots of opportunities to enjoy ATVing in the Tulameen and Similkameen Valleys.  From casual riding with your family, to touring with the local ATV Club, you are always welcome.  There are hundreds of miles of trails that you can access right from Coalmont, either by travelling along the Kettle Valley Railway corridor or on the South side of the Tulameen River.  Whether you enjoy putting slowly along a Forest Service Road, or challenging trails like the legendary Whipsaw, everything is right here.

Similkameen Valley Riders ATV Club

The Similkameen Valley Riders ATV Club is a group of about 50 local enthusiasts who meet on a regular basis to share their love of the sport and the great outdoors.  They meet on the third Saturday of each month at 3:00 PM at the Princeton Chamber of Commerce and have organized rides a couple of times a month during riding season.  They are affiliated with ATV/BC, and visitors are welcome to attend their rides.

ATV/BC

The parent organization for ATVing in British Columbia is the Quad Riders Association of B.C., also known as ATV/BC.  This organization supports the local Clubs and helps to keep trails open and properly maintained.  They help all riders through their safety education programs, and lobbying and support for multi-use trails throughout the province.  They have liasons to the Insurance industry which provides discounts to Members.  This in itself can save more money than the cost of membership.  Remember, you have to have Liability Insurance and a Drivers License in order to drive any off-road vehicle on Forest Service Roads in B.C.  To find out more about ATV/BC, click on their logo below to go to their website.

Please join your local Club and keep trails open through joining ATV/BC.
